INDONESIAN TOP MODEL : ERLANDHO

NOTE:
This would be a first of a series of interviews I've done with models from around the globe, just to give us all a taste of how modelling is on other countries and fashion capitals. I hope it helps inspire asipring models to dream, and have the courage to actually pursue it as their passion.



ERLANDO is one of those models that you only need a head shot to tell you how good he is.

I just stumbled upon him after he left a tag in my model mayhem, and when i checked his portfolio i was quite impressed with his work. He has had billboards and editorials in his native country, but still seems oblivious to his success. He's a pretty nice guy -which might explain the big following he has on facebook-, i usually chat with him and he seems very open and friendly.

I mustered up the courage to ask him if i can feature him in my blog, and he agreed to an interview. It was great to ask another model from another asian country about the business and how we actually share the same ethics and aspirations.




YEOH: i've seen your portfolio and you seem like a superstar in indonesia. can you tell me recent jobs or projects that you have done?

ERLANDHO:hahaha...naaah,am not that star,am just doing modelling that i love so much and try giving my best in ths industry,
well,just chosen as a brand image of local cigarettes Bentoel tali jagad.every male model dreams to be one of them i guess,thx God i got it.
now i'm preparing for my movie in Bangkok next september

Y: how long have you been modelling and how did you start in the business?

E: i've been modelling since 2005,a photographer discovered me and convinced me tht i can be a model.was lack of confidence,cuz didn't hv any experience before,now i can do how 2 pose...lol

Y: what do you like most about being a model?

E: wht i like the most 2 be a model is always seeing new people,new places and new experiences

Y: can you tell me something about your work ethic?

E: always friendly,punctual,never complain,and always give ur best in every job

Y:can you describe to us what the modelling and fashion industry is like in jakarta?

E: it has been growing up than the past years,jakarta trying 2 be one of fashion city in asia,we have fashion week here and indonesia FTV.all international fashion brand already exist here
and for models,the competion is going tighter,cuz so many models here,local and foreign models

Y: what advice can you tell to an aspiring model?

E:be ur self,be bold and different,punctual and keep in shape ;)
